The US has just approved the sale of three latest version of MK11 SWCS underwater troop transport vehicles worth about 90 million USD to the Royal Navy.

MK11 SWCS is the latest version and will replace the old models of this mini submarine line currently in service with the Royal Navy special forces. According to the manufacturer, although traditional submarines have good attack power, they can only operate in deep water areas.
Meanwhile, moving special forces from submarine to land is not easy when soldiers have to carry full equipment and swim quite a long distance, which makes them lose a lot of energy. Therefore, underwater transport vehicles like MK11 SWCS are an effective solution.

Although the body design has not changed much compared to previous versions, the MK11 SWCS (6.8m long, 1.5m wide, 1.5m high, empty weight 4.5 tons) can carry 6 soldiers, reach a maximum speed of 11km/h, a range of 30km when fully loaded and has increased gas storage capacity, upgraded communication equipment and significant electronic equipment.
It is known that in addition to the American MK11 SWCS mini submarine, the similar German-made Black Shadow is also trusted by many countries, including the Russian Navy.
This special vehicle has been used by Russia many times in landing missions on the Syrian coast.
