Many scholarship opportunities to study in the Russian Federation are available for students from Nghe An.

On the afternoon of December 16th, the Department of Education and Training organized a program to provide advice and recruit students for scholarships from the Russian Federation in 2025.

The program was conducted online, connecting participants with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, universities in the Russian Federation, and 12 high schools throughout the province.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Van Khoa reiterated the long-standing and close relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. In particular, over the years, many generations of Vietnamese students have studied in Russia and achieved success in various fields.

Studying abroad is also a trend that many students in Nghe An have been choosing in recent years. Therefore, through this program, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training hope that students in Nghe An will have more information channels about career orientation in the future.

The Department of Education and Training is ready to create all the necessary conditions and provide support to help students have more opportunities to find information or apply for overseas study.

At the Russian Federation scholarship counseling and recruitment event, Ms. Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa – First Secretary, in charge of the education department, Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation – provided students from Nghe An with information about training programs and scholarship policies of the Russian and Vietnamese governments. Russia has a long history of education with approximately 600 public universities. Its main strengths lie in basic sciences, applied sciences, mechanical engineering, medicine, arts, and even new fields such as information technology, nanotechnology, and energy…

Students who receive scholarships from the Government of the Russian Federation are entitled to tuition fee waivers for the duration of their studies, a monthly stipend, and accommodation in dormitories at a cost determined by the Government of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Government's supplementary scholarship includes one-way and return airfare, travel expenses, passport and visa fees, health insurance, and a monthly living allowance as stipulated by the Vietnamese Government for scholarship students under the Agreement studying in the Russian Federation.

Currently, there are approximately 5,000 students studying in Russia in programs ranging from undergraduate to doctoral degrees, and the majority of these students are studying in Russia under visa programs.Scholarships provided by the Russian GovernmentThe Vietnamese government, or two governments of the same level.

Currently, Vietnam is the second country after Belarus to receive the most scholarships from the Russian government for students, with approximately 1,000 scholarships per year across undergraduate, master's, doctoral, internship, and Russian language levels.

In this program, several universities in Russia also introduced their training programs, scholarship policies, training duration for each level, scholarship schemes; eligibility criteria and application documents; commitments to complete the scholarship program for international students, language requirements; guidance on preliminary application procedures; application deadlines and specific selection processes.

In addition, representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation and universities also directly exchanged information, discussed, and answered questions about scholarship programs in the Russian Federation, the life and studies of Vietnamese students in the Russian Federation, and job opportunities after graduation.
