Many cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 15, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Youth Union, the People's Committee of Nam Dan district and Van Xuan University to organize a program to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Dong Du movement and Vietnam - Japan relations.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Satoshi Yamamoto, Senior Advisor of JICA Vietnam Project. On the side of Nghe An province, there were Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities.

Exactly 110 years ago, responding to the call of patriot Phan Boi Chau, more than 200 patriotic and outstanding young people went to Japan with the aim of liberating the nation, inspiring the nation, and reforming the country.
Although the Dong Du Movement only existed for a short time, it contributed to arousing the patriotism and determination to gain independence of the Vietnamese people, especially the young generation at that time. The movement also contributed to changing the history of Vietnam in many aspects such as culture, education, and diplomacy. Currently, the Vietnam - Japan relationship is developing well in many fields. Japan is a strategic partner of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is a meaningful activity to educate the younger generation about the patriotic tradition of their ancestors, looking towards the future with the spirit of taking the past as a fulcrum; consolidating and strengthening the Vietnam - Japan relationship to become more sustainable, developing, reaching new heights.

The series of activities to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Dong Du Movement and Vietnam-Japan relations will take place from October 15 to December 25. During this time, Van Xuan University and many universities, colleges, intermediate schools, and high schools in the province will organize many exciting activities such as: camping, displaying documents about the 110th anniversary of the Dong Du Movement and Vietnam-Japan relations; Origami paper folding contest, Vietnamese-Japanese folk song and dance exchange, and culinary exchange. Nghe An Library will also organize a workshop on "110 years of the Dong Du Movement and Vietnam-Japan relations".
