Many practical activities to support the poor in Nghe An

The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh (60 years old), in hamlet 11B, Hung Long commune, is in a particularly difficult situation: She is a single woman, without husband or children, and is disabled. She currently lives alone in a dilapidated house left by her parents, but has no means to repair it.

Sharing the family's difficulties, the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Long commune mobilized support to build a new house for her. After 2 months of construction, the house worth more than 180 million VND was put into use; of which the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Nguyen allocated 30 million VND from the Fund for the Poor and the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Long commune supported 3 million VND. The remaining amount was contributed by brothers and children.

Ha Hue

Quynh Thach Commune Delegation (Quynh Luu District)visited and donated more than 30 million VND to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau in village 4, Quynh Thach commune.

Mrs. Sau's family has been poor for many years, both mother and daughter suffer from serious illnesses. Nearly 11 years ago, Mrs. Sau discovered she had breast cancer, although she had surgery, the disease had complications, greatly affecting her health. Her son, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh (30 years old), has also been battling severe kidney failure and pneumonia for the past 10 years.

Sharing the difficulties of Mrs. Sau and her son, on this occasion, Quynh Thach Commune Youth Union donated 31.8 million VND to her family. This amount was contributed through charity football matches organized by the Commune Youth Union.

In Thai Hoa and Nghia Dan towns,Some philanthropists coordinated with the Women's Union of the town to visit and give 32 million VND to 2 sick and unfortunate children in Thai Hoa town and Nghia Dan district.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and supported the medical expenses for 2 children who are seriously ill, with a total amount of 32 million VND (each child received 11.5 million VND). They are Nguyen Trong Nguyen, suffering from lung fungus - a rare disease, in Tan Phu block, Hoa Hieu ward (Thai Hoa town) and Nguyen Van Hieu (2 years old) in Nam Thang hamlet, Nghia Loc commune (Nghia Dan), who suffered from severe burns. Currently, both children are being treated in Hanoi by their families, the medical expenses are very expensive.

In Yen Thanh district,Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), Bac Nghe An Branch, went to Van Thanh commune to award scholarships to 2 poor new students who achieved high scores in the 2019 National High School Exam.

The scholarship recipients this time are Nguyen Thi Hoa in Hamlet 7, Van Thanh Commune, a former student of class 12A5 at Phan Dang Luu High School. In the recent National High School Exam, her admission score for group D was 26.85 points, and she was admitted to Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Dao Van Luong in Hamlet 2, a former student of class 12A1 at Phan Dang Luu High School, scored 28.3 points, was the valedictorian of group A1 in Nghe An province, and was also one of the 20 candidates in group A1 with the highest scores nationwide. She was admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and each student was supported with a scholarship worth 5 million VND.

These are two new students who both come from poor households and have very difficult family circumstances, but with their will and determination, they have overcome difficulties and achieved high academic results.
