This is the second year that Nghe An province has allowed schools in the province to directly enroll students with international English certificates. However, in previous years, priority was only given to direct enrollment for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Huynh Thuc Khang High School.

This year, several other schools continue to bedirect recruitmentare Ha Huy Tap High School, Le Viet Thuat High School, Nguyen Duy Trinh High School, Do Luong 1 High School, Quy Hop High School and other high schools in the areas with students having international English certificates.

Prof. Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training also said: Directly recruiting students with international English certificates will encourage English learning among high school students. At the same time, opening more specialized English classes will motivate students throughout the province to compete in studying, innovate teaching and learning methods of English in schools towards international standards.

Regarding the 10th grade entrance exam this year, Nghe An uses both the entrance exam and the selection method. In particular, the entrance exam is for schools with the number of students registering for the first choice exceeding the enrollment quota for the 2021-2022 school year; the selection method is for the remaining schools. According to the school year development plan, it is expected that in the 2020-2021 school year, the whole province will enroll an average of 75-80% of 9th grade students.

Of which, the provincial ethnic minority high school will enroll 6 grade 10 students with 210 students, and the ethnic minority high school No. 2 will also enroll 6 grade 10 students with 210 students.

Students who are eligible for admission and wish to study at a boarding school must register and take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2021-2022 school year.
