Many 'barefoot billionaires' in Nghe An lost everything overnight due to severe floods
(Baonghean.vn) - The circulation of storm No. 9 with heavy rain and floods has caused many fish tanks and crops of farms and households in Vinh city, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts to be swept away by the flood.
Late on October 29, floodwaters hit the chicken farm of Mr. Nguyen Duy Diep's family (28 years old), residing in Thanh Phong commune (Thanh Chuong). He quickly called his relatives to help, however, there were not enough people and everyone in the village had to worry about the flood, so the 13,000 chickens of Mr. Dien's family were submerged in the flood. Looking at the chickens he had worked hard to rescue all night, huddled together, then one by one died on the floor, Mr. Diep shed tears.

It is known that in early 2020, Nguyen Duy Diep bought 13,000 chickens to raise. He took advantage of the vacant land in the farm to raise 5,000 more pomfret fish. "At the end of October, I also thought there would be no more floods. Now the chickens are about 2.5 kg each, expected to be sold in a few weeks" - Mr. Diep said sadly. On the evening of October 29, he went to the chicken coop to check around as usual. Seeing heavy rain, he slept at the farm to prepare for any unexpected events. But still not in time for everything...
