Many trucks in Nghe An were forced to cut open their extended beds.
(Baonghean.vn) - The extended trucks of 2 businesses in Nghe An province were required by the Traffic Inspectorate to reduce the cargo bed to avoid overloading.
On the afternoon of June 8, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hau - Head of the Inspection Team of Area 2 (Inspector of the Department of Transport of Nghe An province) said that the unit had just requested 2 transport enterprises operating in the area to cut off the part of the container that was extended to carry overloaded loads. These are 2 enterprises that often transport soil from the soil mine in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district), to serve a nearby industrial park.
“Today, two trucks had their cargo boxes cut off. Another one is still in progress and will be finished tomorrow,” said Mr. Hau, adding that these trucks were expanded by nearly half a meter compared to their original design. The process of cutting cargo boxes was supervised by traffic inspectors.

These vehicles are often overloaded, causing local residents to be upset. However, according to traffic inspectors, because they only travel about 2 km on Highway 46, handling them is difficult. Drivers find many ways to avoid the authorities whenever they appear.

Earlier, on the morning of June 6, the traffic inspector discovered that a truck with a Thanh Hoa license plate of Linh Son Company was transporting soil on National Highway 46, violating the law by extending the truck bed, so he made a record to handle it. The remaining truck owners, when they saw the authorities appear, quickly fled. The traffic inspector was then forced to meet and persuade the truck owners to bring the violating truck to cut off the extended part of the truck bed.
