Group of workers used 2 tons of illegal explosives

(Baonghean.vn)- On December 21, the Nghe An Police Department's Social Order Management Police discovered and arrested a subject illegally using 21kg of illegal explosives.

Receiving information from the people about some road workers illegally using explosives to break rocks to open roads in Puc village, Nam Giai commune, Que Phong district, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Police coordinated with Que Phong district police and Nam Giai commune police to conduct an inspection.

At the time of inspection, Nong Quang Ly (born in 1986), residing in Xin Man district, Ha Giang province, a worker at Toan Gia Company Limited (Ha Giang) used about 21kg of explosives, Anpho type, and 117 detonators with electric wires connected at both ends. The seized evidence also included 02 coils of electric wire, 01 homemade electric generator, 01 Lioa brand power outlet, 01 air drill to drill rocks and place explosives to break rocks to open roads. The authorities arrested and seized all the evidence for further investigation.

At the police station, Nong Quang Ly confessed that he and several other workers regularly used this explosive to blast rocks to build roads for Toan Gia Company, the contractor. Meanwhile, this company does not have the function of blasting.

Currently, the police force is continuing to investigate the origin of the explosives and other related subjects.
