Group of people impersonating Government Office officials "brokering" land
A group of strangers impersonated Government Office officials, boasted of having relationships with leaders, and tricked people into depositing money to buy plots of land in prime locations.
On the afternoon of February 20, informing reporters, Mr. Vu Van Cuong - Director of Phuong Dong Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (Van Don, Quang Ninh) said that the unit had sent a report to the Director of Quang Ninh Provincial Police about a group of people impersonating Government Office officials to cheat money from people who wanted to buy land in Van Don district.

These people introduced themselves as having close relationships with leaders of Quang Ninh province and high-ranking leaders to influence the company to buy plots of land in beautiful locations and plots of land facing the sea.
