The white-shirt soldiers have now become dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, working with the locals to carry goods, use motorbikes to transport necessities, and personally distribute small gifts...

After a long and difficult journey, the group reached Son Ha and Hoa Son villages, Ta Ca commune, where the flood was most devastating. The scene after the flood was still desolate, the roads were still piled with rocks and dirt, muddy, and crisscrossed with ruts from vehicles entering for relief. The roofs were dilapidated and ruined… The villagers here were still in shock after struggling with the fierce flood.

Mr. Vi Nhu Cuong - Cultural officer of Ta Ca commune shared: "Ta Ca people are grateful for the kind hearts of Cua Dong General Hospital for supporting 250 gifts (cash and supplies, necessities and a number of medicines) worth 120 million VND; practically helping families whose houses were swept away, poor households affected by the flood to overcome difficulties, ensure health to soon stabilize their lives".

Looking at the radiant faces of joy and receiving words of thanks from the local people, the white-shirted volunteers felt warm inside, all fatigue and hardship seemed to disappear...

Although they are small, they are from our hearts, with the spirit of mutual love; we hope to contribute our efforts to help people overcome difficulties and hardships soon” - Ths.BS Thai Doan Cong - Deputy Director of the Hospital shared.

Only by witnessing life after the flood "swept" through, the village was devastated and desolate, can one understand the hardship, deprivation and even the risk of disease of the people of Ta Ca.
