The numbers speak for themselves in the conversion of gasoline cars to electric cars.
Statistics from reputable organizations around the world show that electric vehicles are increasingly widespread and becoming the preferred choice for people in many countries.

The numbers speak for themselves.
According to CDK Global, a company that provides software to auto dealers, the percentage of car buyers planning to switch to electric vehicles in the future has increased from 18% in 2023 to 31% in 2024.
In the US, electric vehicle sales in 2024 will reach 1.3 million, up 7.3% from the previous year. Carmakers such as General Motors and Hyundai are seeing significant growth, showing that electric vehicles are gradually becoming a popular choice in the market.
One of the main reasons for the growing popularity of electric vehicles is their lower operating costs compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. According to the study, 60% of consumers now have a better understanding of charging costs, 48% know that an electric vehicle takes about 30 minutes to charge, and 49% have identified local charging stations. Maintenance costs are also significantly lower for electric vehicles, as the electric powertrain has fewer moving parts and requires less maintenance than a gasoline-powered vehicle.

Strong green transformation trend in Vietnam
The trend of switching to electric vehicles is not only happening in the world but is also being strongly promoted in Vietnam. With the emergence of VinFast, a domestic electric vehicle brand, the Vietnamese automobile market is witnessing a clear change.
In 2024, VinFast rose to become the best-selling electric car brand in Vietnam with more than 87,000 vehicles, surpassing imported brands such as Toyota (68,000 vehicles) and Hyundai (67,000 vehicles).
Sharing with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Duc Nam - a car dealership owner in Pham Van Dong Street, Hanoi - said: "A few years ago, most of my customers chose gasoline cars, but now, more than 40% of people coming to the store are interested in electric cars. The number of customers choosing electric cars has increased sharply thanks to reasonable prices, good quality and policies for users."
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thanh - an office worker in Hanoi - shared: "I switched to using an electric car last year and am really satisfied. Charging the car is no longer a problem because charging stations are now much more popular. More importantly, I save a significant amount of fuel costs compared to when I used a gasoline car."
Meanwhile, Mr. Ta Van Hoang - a service driver - said: "After trying it, I found that electric cars are very economical and I don't have to worry about high gas prices. Moreover, customers also prefer to use electric cars because they are smooth and environmentally friendly."
In addition to government policies, the efforts of businesses such as VinFast, from supporting ownership costs to free battery charging, parking, etc., have helped many people access green vehicles. The network of charging stations is expanding rapidly across the country, helping to remove barriers to using electric vehicles. Statistics and reality in Vietnam show that the electric vehicle revolution has been and is taking place strongly. This trend not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also brings clear economic benefits to consumers. With the rapid development of infrastructure and technology, the era of gasoline cars will probably soon come to an end, giving way to a greener future with electric vehicles.
