This event takes place at the beginning of the new autumn, opening up many opportunities for socio-economic development.

Bridges and roads enhance regional connectivity

People are excited about the official opening ceremony of Yen Xuan road bridge.

This autumn morning, Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh and many people of Thai Hoa town had a joyful experience when traveling on the new road from Nghia My commune at National Highway 48 (Km 30 + 609) to National Highway 1A (Hoang Mai town). On the 29 km road that was just completed, Mr. Tinh and his "village friends" only took about 30 minutes to reach National Highway 1A, from here, everyone can travel to all regions more conveniently.

The route connecting National Highway 1A with National Highway 48 has been newly invested in construction with 2 lanes. The total investment of this route is over 855 billion VND, passing through Hoang Mai town (9 km), Quynh Luu district (9 km), Nghia Dan district (9.5 km) and Thai Hoa town (1.5 km). The starting point of Km0 intersects with National Highway 1A at Km387+500. The end point of Km28+990 connects with National Highway 48 at Km30+609.

At the opening ceremony of the route on the morning of September 3, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The completion of the route connecting National Highway 1A with National Highway 48 opens up many new development opportunities for localities along both sides of the route, contributing to shortening the distance between regions, connecting production, product consumption, economic, cultural and social exchanges for people in the Northwest of Nghe An and connecting with the economic regions of North Nghe An and South Thanh Hoa. Especially connecting and facilitating the economic development of key regions and industrial parks and factories such as: Wood processing factory and MDF; Nghia My Industrial Park (Thai Hoa Town); Tan Thang Cement, Hoang Mai II, TH Milk...

On the same afternoon, thousands of people and authorities of the communes of Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Duc Tho districts (Ha Tinh) were truly happy to welcome the opening ceremony of Yen Xuan road bridge across Lam river.

This project truly connects “the banks of joy” because it helps the people of the above communes to eliminate the isolation like an oasis during the rainy season, solve the problem of traffic insecurity and traffic congestion in the Yen Xuan railway bridge area, and at the same time meet the increasing transportation demand on National Highway 1A, Vinh City bypass, National Highway 15A, National Highway 8, promote trade for the people of the Nam Nghe - Bac Ha region to develop the economy.

Present at the solemn ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Bat, in Hamlet 2, Hung Xa Hung Nguyen, emotionally shared: “For generations, our people have been waiting for this event. During today's ceremony, many elders, now 80 - 90 years old, asked their children and grandchildren to take them out to see and walk on the bridge with joy that cannot be expressed in words”. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Sy, in Hamlet 10, Nam Trung Commune, Nam Dan, excitedly said: “Today my whole family and most of the people in the surrounding area came here to attend the ceremony. Knowing that the bridge will serve the people for a long time, but walking on this bridge for the first time always urges us to come here…”.

Yen Xuan Road Bridge runs perpendicular to Lam River and is about 2.5 km upstream from the current Yen Xuan Railway Bridge. The bridge is 3.6 km long, with a total value of 900 billion VND, and construction began on October 2, 2015.

Factories promote economic development

While the roads and bridges open up many opportunities for connection and development, the factories inaugurated in early September in Nghe An have a great influence in promoting the economic development of the regions, creating many jobs and contributing to the provincial budget. These are Nghe An Wood Processing Factory with modern technology, regional scale and Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Factory.

The project of the MDF wood and fiberboard processing factory of May Forestry Joint Stock Company started construction in February 2013 on an area of ​​40 hectares in Nghia Dan Industrial Park, with a total investment of 300 million USD (excluding investment capital for the sustainable raw material development area) divided into 2 phases. Phase I with a total investment of more than 100 million USD includes a wood bar processing line with a capacity of 12,000 m3/year and an MDF fiberboard processing line with a capacity of 130,000 m3/year. Phase 2 will increase the total capacity of the wood bar factory to 40,000 m3/year and the MDF factory: 400,000 m3/year with a total investment of 200 million USD.

The factory was officially inaugurated and put into operation, opening up great opportunities for the forest planting profession for the people in the Western region of Nghe An province, because to meet the demand for processed materials, over 50,000 hectares of forest are needed. In addition to the two professional affiliated companies taking care of developing raw material areas, May Forestry Joint Stock Company has also coordinated with the Forest Protection Departments and forestry companies in the districts of Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong (Tuong Duong) ... to act as a focal point for purchasing raw materials from planted forests.

At the same time, the Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Factory Project built in Quynh Vinh Commune - Hoang Mai Town has also officially come into operation. The project is invested in building a new factory and auxiliary works on a land area of ​​over 32,000 m2, with 24 sewing lines, expected to create jobs for about 900 workers. This factory is one of the important "driving forces" connecting with many other projects to create a strong development for the young urban area of ​​Hoang Mai, soon becoming a growth pole in the North of Nghe An province, associated with major projects of the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe economic zone.

The 15-storey 4-star hotel, Muong Thanh Grand Hoang Mai, was inaugurated and put into use on September 2 as a highlight of the city. With 161 rooms, meeting the accommodation needs of domestic and foreign tourists; a system of 3 large modern conference rooms with a maximum capacity of 1,000 guests. Along with the synchronous investment in facilities are professional conference and banquet services, the hotel opens the way to connect Hoang Mai tourism potential with the beautiful beaches of Quynh Lap, Quynh Phuong and the relic of Con Temple - the most sacred temple in Nghe An, rivers, lakes, dams, relics and cultural festivals, unique cuisine, imbued with the local identity of the coastal area...

Also in Hoang Mai town, the office building of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and some headquarters of the departments in the town's administrative area were inaugurated and put into use, contributing significantly to solving the situation of civil servants having to rent headquarters.

One of the key projects inaugurated on this occasion is the Nghe An Radio and Television Station building. The 12-storey building has a total floor area of ​​9,302 m2 with many important items such as: A studio with more than 300 seats; A system of studios with an area of ​​100 - 180 m2 attached to a block of editors, technicians, and reporters working in an open space, which will be the optimal conditions for the station to perform well its propaganda tasks in the new period.

The completed works, put into use and exploited in Nghe An on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the National Day September 2nd, the 86th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (September 12, 1930-2016) are a new motivation to urge cadres and people of Uncle Ho's hometown to strive to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015-2020.
