Common mistakes when riding a motorbike at night
At night, due to subjective psychology, many people are more likely to make mistakes. Below are some common violations.
Do not turn on the lights
Subjectively, because of the street lights, many motorbike drivers do not turn on their headlights when driving at night. This is not only a violation of traffic laws but also very dangerous.
honk continuously
According to the Road Traffic Law, honking or revving the engine continuously between 10pm and 5am in urban and residential areas is a violation of the law. However, many people still honk their horns indiscriminately when going out at night, making people around them uncomfortable.
This behavior will be punished by traffic police according to regulations.
Run a red light
Taking advantage of the time at night when there are few cars and no traffic police, many people think they have the right to run red lights. However, at times when visibility is limited, especially when vehicles are moving at high speed, running red lights can easily cause accidents.

Drink alcohol
Despite Decree 100/2019/ND-CP coming into effect, many people are still willing to drive on the road after drinking alcohol. Using alcohol while driving, even just a little, will be "whistled" by traffic police and punished very severely. Therefore, even when riding a motorbike at night, drivers should still comply with the law.
Carrying more people than allowed
In the evening, many people take advantage of the opportunity to carry 2-3 more people. This also violates the provisions of the Road Traffic Law. Article 30 of the Road Traffic Law stipulates that motorcyclists are only allowed to carry 1 more adult, except in cases of transporting patients to the emergency room or escorting people who have violated the law or children under 14 years old.
No helmet
Although helmet wearing regulations have been widely popularized, many people still do not wear them when going out at night. This is an unsafe behavior, not only violating the law but also causing serious consequences if an accident occurs.
