Artists in their 70s and 80s still perform diligently

Meritorious Artist Pham Bang, Meritorious Artist Tran Hanh, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu, artist Mac Can... are all at a rare age but still stick with their profession, driving their own motorbikes or cycling to perform.

Meritorious Artist Pham Bang

Artist Pham Bang is 85 years old this year. He usually drives his old Dream to perform around Hanoi. He is also busy all year round going to the provinces to perform comedy for people to see. Recently, artist Pham Bang participated in the comedy film Tet Binh Than Chon Loi 3. The artist said that he is attached to his work to fill the sadness of old age and the loneliness of missing his partner who passed away 15 years ago.

"As long as I have strength and the audience still needs me, I will continue to perform. If I am unable to do so, I have to endure it, but I want to continue until I pass away," said Meritorious Artist Pham Bang.

Tran Hanh

Artist Tran Hanh is 87 years old this year. During the days before Tet, he is still busy filming. The artist has shared many times that he performs not for money but to avoid missing his job and to relieve boredom. He used to drive a Honda 82, but after an accident, he stopped driving.

Artist Tran Hanh's life has been full of hardships and suffering. He spent many years taking care of his bedridden wife until she passed away. Currently, Tran Hanh still has to take care of his son over 40 years old who suffered a brain injury due to an accident. However, Tran Hanh does not consider himself an unfortunate person. He lives a simple life and does not ask for too much. Once, fans saw him riding the bus home near Tran Quy Cap station (Hanoi).

Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu

At the age of 82, artist Phi Dieu is still diligently playing many supporting roles. She is often seen riding her motorbike to film. The artist shared that she does not want to bother others when she sees that she can still do it.

After her husband, musician Phan Nhan, passed away in the middle of last year, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu's life became quieter. She found joy by going on stage, going to the studio to meet people and living with her profession.

She is known for the films White Blouse, Thuy Khuc, On the Road of Red Leaves... Recently, the female artist changed her image in sitcoms such as Ngu Long Cong Chua. She also participated in commercials and illustrated music videos.

Artist Thien Kim

Artist Thien Kim is over 80 years old this year. She has lived at the Artist Nursing Home in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City for the past ten years. She appeared in several TV series such as Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law, Suddenly Want to Cry...

Every time she receives an invitation to perform in the city, artist Thien Kim still rides her bike to the filming location.

Meritorious Artist Le Thien

Artist Le Thien's real name is To Dang Thi Thien, born on August 19, 1945 in Bong Son commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province. The 71-year-old artist currently lives with her husband in Ho Chi Minh City. At the age of 70, he lives alone in Ho Chi Minh City, suffering from many chronic diseases of the stomach, joints... However, Mac Can still travels by motorbike when filming, performing magic or meeting friends.
