In recent years, the integrated livestock farm of Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh's family in Ke May village has been considered a model in Cam Son commune. Receiving the policy of land allocation and forest contract, in 2008 her family contracted more than 10 hectares to develop the farm economy.
With diligence and hard work, her family now has over 7 hectares of forest, 2 hectares of tea, plus 1 hectare of livestock raising 1,000 egg-laying hens; 10,000 meat chickens; thousands of frogs and chickens for the nearby market; nearly 50 goats and fish ponds. With that property, her family earns over 1.5 billion VND in revenue each year.

The development of farm economy has strongly shifted the structure of agricultural production, bringing the income value of livestock farming to account for 50% of the value of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector and becoming the driving force for the economic development of the commune.
The current poverty rate of the commune is only 5%. The average income per capita is 28.5 million VND/person/year. In particular, in December 2015, Cam Son was the second locality of Anh Son district to achieve the new rural commune status.
