Teacher Trinh Thi Hong (Quang Trung Secondary School) - Valedictorian of Natural Sciences and teacher Ho Thi Ngoc Diep (Vinh Tan Secondary School) - Valedictorian of English, are two outstanding teachers in this year's exam season.
Teacher Trinh Thi Hong: Pride in her own profession
Teacher Trinh Thi Hong was born in 1989 and has been in the teaching profession for more than 10 years. Before becoming a teacher at Quang Trung Secondary School, she had many years as a Physics teacher at Dien Chau 2 High School.
This female teacher also had an impressive achievement, being the double valedictorian of the Physics Pedagogy Faculty - Vinh University. Although she did not grow up in Vinh city, but after nearly 20 years of being attached to Vinh, she considered this her second hometown, because here she has family, colleagues, a school she wants to stay with for a long time and her students...

Before coming toProvincial Excellent Teacher CompetitionShe has also participated in the City's Excellent Teacher Competition 3 times. There were times when she participated when her child was only 2 months old, and there was a time when she participated in the Excellent Teacher Competition during the Covid-19 outbreak.
The third time she took the exam, she was honored to be the city's valedictorian in the Natural Sciences (Physics) subject. This was also the basis for her to participate in the Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition and excellently won first prize, a result that did not seem to surprise many colleagues.
Talking about this contest, teacher Trinh Thi Hong shared that although the contest only lasted less than 1 month. However, for her personally, the preparation for the contest cannot be calculated by month or week but it is a cumulative process.

I think the part of the report on measures to improve teaching quality is the part that I prepared the most carefully, when I developed a report with the topic: Design and build some Stem topics in Natural Science to develop students' capacity. In fact, this is the topic that summarizes a long process of me directly teaching Stem at school.
Teacher Trinh Thi Hong
According to teacher Trinh Thi Hong, 4.5 years ago, Stem teaching was only applied in a few classes and teachers were often hesitant to implement it, because there were not many documents about Stem, and there were no complete and systematic training sessions.
But as a Physics teacher, a subject with high applicability, she has applied Stem teaching in her lessons, encouraging students to research knowledge to create products: There are successful products, there are failed products, but after creating them, the knowledge errors that students make will be deeply engraved and they will remember the lessons better. Through Stem lessons, students can develop skills such as communication, problem solving and self-confidence in learning, mastering knowledge... Ms. Hong said.
With a solid foundation and many years of teaching experience, teacher Trinh Thi Hong did not encounter many difficulties in the practical exam. During the lesson organization, teacher Trinh Thi Hong often does not follow the "beaten path" but often boldly gives her own views and approaches to create interest for students. The ultimate goal is for students to easily absorb the lesson and solve the problems that the lesson requires.

As a young teacher, she is constantly learning and always approaching information technology to be able to apply it in lectures. 3 years ago, when the Covid-19 epidemic interrupted learning, to help students easily access lessons, she was one of the pioneers in making videos about Physics experiments. Many of the videos later had more than 20,000 views.
This female teacher, despite her young child and many other jobs, whenever she sees Vinh University organizing seminars related to her field, she still diligently attends them in the hope of gaining new knowledge. She studies regularly and continuously because she does not want to be left behind, and it is also her pride and responsibility for her profession.
I have participated in many competitions for excellent teachers at the city and provincial levels and have never considered it a burden. On the contrary, I participated in the competitions because of my pride in myself and my profession. Over the years, I have lived with my profession so I have not felt tired. My love for the profession has also given me the joy to stick with it.
Teacher Trinh Thi Hong
Her enthusiasm and responsibility also helped Ms. Trinh Thi Hong receive a lot of affection from her students and colleagues. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - Principal of Quang Trung Secondary School shared more: Although she is a young teacher, Ms. Trinh Thi Hong is always a pioneer, leading many movements of the school, especially in applying information technology in teaching and is not afraid to share with colleagues.
Teacher Trinh Thi Hong is also a responsible, enthusiastic and highly qualified person and with her tireless efforts, the title of valedictorian is completely deserved!
Teacher Ho Thi Ngoc Diep:
The joy is to train ordinary students to become good students.
Teacher Ho Thi Ngoc Diep is the youngest female teacher among more than 50 teachers in the province participating in this year's English Teacher Competition. Therefore, although she came to this competition with the First Prize and the Top Prize of the City's Teacher Competition, this female teacher born in 1997 still admitted that there was a lot of pressure when participating in the provincial competition.

It was not until she entered the official competition and demonstrated her abilities that she truly became confident. "I started the first part of the competition by presenting measures to develop students' speaking skills. This is one of the students' weakest skills, because in mainstream classes, if we organize group work, it will only be promoted in good students. On the contrary, weaker students will learn passively. In my report, I proposed the "tea party" measure, requiring all students to communicate with each other in turn. Through the implementation in our school, after more than a semester, the students have made significant progress.

Teacher Ngoc Diep shared: Vinh Tan Secondary School is a very special school in Vinh city. Here, due to many different circumstances, compared to many other schools, students lack attention and care from their families and their abilities are still limited.
Teacher Ngoc Diep herself, a former student of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, graduated with a degree in Pedagogy with Distinction, so when she first started working at the school, she was really surprised by the capacity of the school's general students. After the surprise, she realized that it was the teachers who had to change.

I learned foreign languages quite early and had many advanced methods to apply in my lessons. But then I realized that my students do not need "high-level" things but must be taught the most basic things, closely following the program, the matrix of exam questions so that they can absorb.
Teacher Ho Thi Ngoc Diep
Teacher Ngoc Diep determined that "it cannot be done in a day or two" but requires a process of perseverance and accompanying students. The joy she receives is also very simple, that is when a student goes from a score of 3, 4 to a score of 6, 7, the class no longer has weak students or her own students. Notably, last school year, the school had 2 students admitted to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Vinh University High School for the Gifted. "The joy for me is that students progress every day, it is training normal students to become excellent students. The teaching profession also gives me warm feelings from students and parents. That is a priceless gift that I cherish very much" - teacher Ngoc Diep confided.
To become a good teacher, in recent times, teacher Ngoc Diep has continuously improved her expertise such as completing a master's program, registering for the IELTS exam to "renew herself".

During the teaching process, she is not afraid to apply new methods to create excitement for her students. Her love for the profession also helped her have a sublime practical lesson at the Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition. She even said that if she had to teach it again, "she would probably make very few changes" because she believes in her own efforts and meticulousness.
With this achievement, teacher Ngoc Diep also became one of the youngest teachers to achieve high results in this year's competition. The award is not only a recognition but also a motivation for her to try harder and stick with her job more in the upcoming journey.
