Dien Chau farmers win year-end vegetable crop
(Baonghean.vn) - This winter crop, the entire Dien Chau district planted 800 hectares of various vegetables, including 600 hectares of long-term vegetables such as kohlrabi, cabbage, and cauliflower. Although it had to be replanted many times, the long-term vegetable crop is bringing in double the income of last year.
In the last days of the year, at Dien Thanh vegetable field, farmers are focusing on harvesting long-term vegetables, mainly kohlrabi, cabbage, and cauliflower. Although it is a hard-working vegetable crop, everyone is happy because prices have increased. Traders come to buy directly from the field, not to sell retail.

In the previous two crops, rare vegetables were sold for 9,000 VND/kg, now they are only 5,000 VND/kg. However, overall, this vegetable crop is very successful, the previous crop makes up for the next one, so the income is more than ten million/sao.

Although production of this winter crop was difficult due to the impact of floods, Dien Chau farmers promptly overcame the situation to ensure more than 800 hectares of various vegetables, including 600 hectares of long-term vegetables. After the floods, the weather was favorable, the plants grew well, and there were few pests and diseases.
Not only is the harvest good, this year vegetables are also very expensive, traders buy them at the field at double the price compared to last year. Each sao brings in an income of 12-15 million VND.
