“1,2,3, hello everyone! Today, we will harvest this melon field in Thuong Tan Loc commune (Nam Dan). This is a yellow-fleshed watermelon, grown organically. Here, we will pick any melon, cut it open for everyone to see and enjoy. We will have 5 discount deals for the first 5 customers, then the price will return to the old price. Everyone, hurry up and click the buy button”, that was the opening words of Mr. Chu Van Quan (Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district) in a livestream selling watermelon.
In particular, in this livestream session, Mr. Quan also invited TikTokers and "hot" streamers to live stream on social networks to sell products with the people. The phrases "place orders", "close orders", "buy"... stirred up the atmosphere in the melon field. Hundreds of orders were closed with nearly half a ton of melons sold right in the livestream session in the melon field.

After graduating from university and returning to start a business with clean agricultural products, the difficulty that Chu Van Quan encountered was finding a market. Quan's farm grows papaya, watermelon, cantaloupe... with a yield of up to tens of tons per crop.
Quan has tried many ways to find outlets for agricultural products such as: connecting with seed and fertilizer companies to connect with agricultural product purchasing agents; selling on consignment at clean food store chains; through traders; transporting to retail locations... However, during peak harvest times, there are times when there is still congestion and loss of value, so the profits are not high.

Mr. Chu Van Quan, owner of the account "Big-footed Farmer" shared: "Currently, the application of science, technology and knowledge in agricultural production has produced high-yield and high-quality agricultural products. However, the biggest difficulty farmers face is the problem of consumption, who to sell agricultural products to, at what price, how to make a profit, and have a stable market? Therefore, I created a YouTube channel, TikTok, Fanpage... to livestream selling agricultural products.
There are sessions where I invite characters who are considered "hot" streamers to participate. In addition, on my channel, I often share videos about daily activities, stories about the countryside, invite foreigners to experience farmer life... so the number of followers is increasing. Thanks to that, the channel has hundreds of thousands of followers. There are sessions where hundreds of kilograms of melons are sold. In particular, thanks to livestream, people everywhere know about our farm's agricultural products."

According to Mr. Quan, currently, orders sold through digital platforms are not many, costly and somewhat more complicated when closing orders, packing, transporting goods... However, this is an inevitable trend that forces him and other large-scale farmers to approach and master.
Following Quan's channel, having bought watermelon, cucumber, cantaloupe, etc. many times through livestream sessions, Ms. Luong My Trang, Vinh city shared: "Buying through livestream sessions, and many times, hunting for good deals, cheap prices and good quality. The most important thing is buying "from the source" so I know how the melon is grown, what the quality is, when it is harvested".

Nowadays, livestreaming to sell agricultural products is no longer strange to farmers, especially those of the 8X and 9X generations. With just a smartphone with an Internet connection, you can conduct a livestream to sell agricultural products. However, to livestream effectively is not easy.
Sales channels must have attractive and rich content, must know how to make beautiful videos so that people have sympathy, have the habit of watching their channel before doing livestream sales. Next, each person must know how to take vivid product photos, know how to set appropriate prices to attract customers.

Therefore, in addition to theoretical training sessions, it is necessary to have “hands-on” and specific instructions for farmers to approach this form of sales. At the same time, each person can invite hot streamers to the garden, the field, and the production facility to conduct livestream sales. Thereby, both attracting viewers and learning how they do it to improve their own skills.
At the same time, it should be noted that fresh agricultural products must be delivered quickly, and returned goods may have to be discarded due to damage, so it is necessary to have a way to preserve them, as well as invest in appropriate logistics infrastructure to ensure efficiency. Because only by maintaining the quality of products to consumers can we retain consumers.
