Since 2012, over 7 billion VND has been invested in aquaculture models through the "Sustainable Aquaculture" project funded by the World Bank (WB). The project is implemented by the CRSD Nghe An Project Management Board. Accordingly, shrimp farmers receive direct guidance from technical and veterinary staff on new techniques for monitoring and forecasting environmental conditions and diseases, and on obtaining certification standards. Over 20 hectares of shrimp farms on sandy soil have been invested in with two main canals: a supply canal and a community canal to bring groundwater from the sea into the shrimp ponds. | Thanks to effective shrimp farming, Dien Trung has formed four community shrimp farming groups, where people manage their own operations, conduct sound business accounting, and help each other share experiences and solve problems that arise during the farming process. | Thanks to the effectiveness, sustainability, and widespread adoption of the shrimp farming model on sandy soil, Dien Chau continues to maintain, re-plan, and expand the clean technology farming area to Dien Trung, Dien Thinh, and Dien Kim communes, bringing the total shrimp farming area in the district to 350 hectares. The goal is to build a brand for clean shrimp in the Dien Chau coastal region. Photo: Sy Minh |
