Female runner-up of Nghe An province dreams of becoming a literature teacher
At the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh - Class 12A1, Tan Ky 3 High School excelled as one of the 7 runners-up in block C00 of Nghe An province and 102 runners-up nationwide with 29.5 points. She is passionate about Literature and has long cherished the dream of becoming a Literature teacher.
Since the day we heard that Nhu Quynh was the runner-up of block C00 of the province, the small house in Dong Hoanh hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune, Tan Ky district has always been filled with laughter because relatives and neighbors came to visit and congratulate.

As the eldest child in a family of 3 children, her father is a mechanic and her mother is a factory worker. Understanding the hardships of her parents, Nhu Quynh has always strived to achieve the best results since she was young. In the 2024 high school exam, she excellently achieved 29.4 points in block C00, including: Literature 9.5 points, History 10 points and Geography 10 points.

According to the second-place winner, among all the subjects, she loves Literature the most, even though she did not get the highest score. Holding this year's Literature exam, she spent about 5 minutes thinking and outlining, then wrote 12 pages in one go. After finishing the last sentence, she only had a few minutes to check her work.

Sharing the “secret” to getting high scores in this exam, Quynh said that she set a goal of getting perfect scores in History and Geography. To realize this, Quynh outlined a specific plan and spent a lot of time on these two subjects.
Quynh shared that for subjects outside of class time, we must increase self-study time. For History and Geography, in addition to practicing solving online test questions as well as teacher-made test questions, students must focus on learning deeply the knowledge they need to remember. Find test types similar to the reference questions of the Ministry of Education and Training to practice solving and improve test-taking skills.
“In History and Geography, we must grasp the most basic knowledge. Because in the recent exam, there were 30 questions from the textbook. When we have a firm grasp of the basic knowledge, we can grasp the average score and then study and learn the advanced application part, which requires remembering specific historical milestones. In Geography, we have the advantage of having an Atlas, but we must clearly understand and memorize the symbols in the Atlas and be extremely careful because it is easy to make mistakes. Just a small mistake can result in a very regrettable loss of points,” Quynh revealed.

Quynh said that for Literature alone, she reads a lot of books, this is a source of knowledge for her to improve her vocabulary and writing style so that she knows how to write and incorporate it into her writing. "The reading comprehension and social discussion sections require more skills and practical connections. As long as you understand the problem, you can confidently express your ideas. In the analysis of poetry or passages, in addition to learning basic knowledge, you need to research and refer to many sources on the internet, books, newspapers, and from there, have literary theories to incorporate into your writing. You should absolutely not memorize and memorize, that will not be effective."

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Nhu Quynh's homeroom teacher for all 3 years of high school, said that he was very happy that the female student achieved the second prize in Nghe An province. In class, Quynh is an excellent student, studying well in all subjects, and achieving good results in tests at school and in class. Not only that, she is also an active and enthusiastic student in school and class movements. Her achievements are priceless gifts for the school teachers and for herself."
Quynh's class 12A1 is a united group with many achievements in studying and in movements. In this year's high school graduation exam, the class had 16 students with a total score of 25 points or more in 3 subjects. Quynh is happy and proud because she contributed to the class's success.

Excited about the results from her own efforts, Nhu Quynh also expressed her gratitude to her family and teachers of Tan Ky 3 High School for always caring, encouraging and helping her. With such good exam results, Quynh has many opportunities to go to universities across the country, but she chose to register her wish to study at Hanoi National University of Education, majoring in Literature Pedagogy. Quynh said that she will continue to try her best to realize her dream of becoming a dedicated teacher, someone who "passes on" the love for Literature to students in the future./.
