The victim was identified as Nguyen Thi Tuyet (28 years old, from Phu Yen), owner of the coffee shop.

As of 7:30 p.m. on May 20, Binh Duong Province police were still blocking off the scene of the murder that occurred that afternoon on DT743A Street (Tan Dong Hiep Ward, Di An Town) that left a female coffee shop owner dead.

The victim was identified as Nguyen Thi Tuyet (28 years old, from Phu Yen), the owner of the coffee shop where the murder occurred.

According to some witnesses, at around 12 o'clock the same day, the victim's younger brother, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, received a phone call saying his sister was sick and so he traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong to visit her.

When he arrived, Mr. Cuong knocked on the door but no one answered, the door was locked. Suspecting something was wrong, Mr. Cuong and some neighbors broke the lock to get inside and found Ms. Tuyet lying dead in the shop with many stab wounds on her body.

According to the victim's neighbors, Ms. Tuyet had just moved to the above address to open a coffee shop about 2 months ago, living as husband and wife with a man named Toan (about 28 years old) and often quarreled and fought with each other.

Normally, Ms. Tuyet lives a closed life, rarely socializing or talking with neighbors.

Earlier on May 19, neighbors heard arguing and scuffling at the coffee shop. When they came to investigate, the door was locked from the outside. At around 4 p.m. that same day, many people heard Tuyet screaming but thought the two were arguing again so they paid no attention.

The case is being further investigated by the authorities.
