Initially, I set myself the goal of reading at least one book a month.the book. Now, the number of books she reads has gradually increased; if it's a thick book, she finishes it in two weeks, while for a regular book, it's in a week. That's how Gia Han developed a reading habit.

Participating in the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, Dang Gia Han introduced the book "Stories from Lang Sen Village" by researcher Chu Trong Huyen, a good book in the library about reading culture.Uncle HoThe book compiles short stories surrounding the life of the beloved leader, from his childhood years living with his parents in his hometown of Nghe An, to the imperial capital and his years studying at Hue National School, until he boarded a ship at Nha Rong port in 1911.

The emotionally resonant stories recounted by eyewitnesses from that era help readers gain a more objective and clearer understanding of President Ho Chi Minh's character.

Telling the story through video clips, Dang Gia Han begins a journey back to the childhood of Nguyen Sinh Cung, starting from the simple thatched house in Hoang Tru village, his maternal hometown in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district. A poor village, but rich in historical and cultural traditions and a strong tradition of learning.

This is the place where the small, three-room thatched house stood, where baby Nguyen Sinh Cung was born, embraced by his parents and loved ones. The hemp hammock and loom where his mother, Hoang Thi Loan, wove while rocking the cradle and singing lullabies to him, imbued with the rich folk culture of Nghe An province, remain intact, just as they were in the past.

Bidding farewell to the beloved village of Hoang Tru, after more than a month of arduous walking, Uncle Ho's family finally arrived in the imperial city of Hue. The house at 112 Mai Thuc Loan Street, Hue City – was where Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac's family lived from 1895 to 1901.

This is a traditional Hue-style house; in the small kitchen, the loom that Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan brought from Nghe An still remains, where she diligently wove cloth to support her husband and children's education. The house also witnessed the peaceful childhood years of young Cung within the citadel and the special bond he shared during his time in Duong No village.

The young Nguyen Sinh Cung witnessed firsthand the constraints and oppression of the feudal government, the domination of colonialism, and the miserable lives of the working people.

“To complete the competition video clip, I went to Uncle Ho's hometown to film the thatched house and artifacts associated with his family and childhood. In particular, I spent three days in Hue city filming Uncle Ho's house and Hue National High School – where he spent a time. Those trips left a deep impression on me and gave me many valuable experiences,” Dang Gia Han shared.

Thanks to her expressive storytelling and meticulous preparation, Dang Gia Han's entry was highly praised by the judges and won first prize (Primary School category) in the competition.Ambassador of Reading CultureNghe An province in 2024. Furthermore, this entry also helped me win the title of Outstanding National Reading Culture Ambassador.

"

As a Reading Culture Ambassador, I have undertaken many practical actions to spread the reading movement in schools and communities. Among them, I initiated the "Books in Hand" project with the Head of the Youth Union, where the school organizes a monthly book donation drive for good books suitable for students' age group. Every three months, the school packages and sends these books to schools in mountainous or coastal areas – places with many poor and disadvantaged students. Each book is a priceless gift for poor students in mountainous or rural districts.
