Nghe An midwife drives more than 20 km to donate blood to save people

At 9:00 a.m. on April 23, the Northwest Regional General Hospital admitted patient Lai Van Hoan, born in 1973, residing in Hamlet 1, Nghia Binh Commune (Tan Ky) in a state of severe anemia.

Patient Hoan was diagnosed with chronic anemia. He was affected by Agent Orange, had poor health, pale skin, and had blood type AB, a rare blood type.

Severe anemia can affect the patient's life. At this time, the medical team has called on family members, siblings, relatives and all staff of the Northwest General Hospital to donate blood to save lives.

Faced with the patient's critical condition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, born in 1979, a midwife working at the Nghia Binh Commune Health Station (Tan Ky) did not hesitate to drive under the sweltering heat of the first day of summer, traveling dozens of kilometers to the hospital to donate Mr. Hoan 1 unit of blood. Mr. Hoan's younger brother, Mr. Lai Van Thien, also donated Mr. Hoan 1 unit of blood.
