Female Chemistry valedictorian with dream of becoming a good doctor and diplomat

The eldest child in a family of two children, whose mother is a Math teacher at a secondary school, Ha Lam soon absorbed the family's tradition of studiousness. She studies hard and is enthusiastic in all activities of the class and school. Ha Lam shared: "In addition to studying culture, I also participate fully in collective activities. I am active and try my best anytime, anywhere, to develop comprehensively."

Every day, Ha Lam goes to school by bicycle.

With her intelligent, studious, and exploratory nature, this bright-eyed, sociable girl has achieved many remarkable achievements in studying and participating in Team activities. At the age of 4, Lam could read books and was an excellent student for 8 consecutive years. Lam's academic record is full of awards from being an excellent student in cultural subjects (First prize in the district's excellent student competition in English and Chemistry, Second prize in the district's excellent student competition in Physics and Math, Third prize in the provincial online English Olympiad (IOE), etc.), to awards for team activities and technical creativity (certificates of merit from the Team Council at district, provincial, and central levels, First prize in the district-level Science and Technology Innovation Competition, etc.)

At the 3rd National Excellent Team Leader Festival in 2018, Ha Lam was honored to be recognized as one of 30 outstanding team leaders nationwide. In the provincial excellent student exam for the 2018-2019 school year, with a score of 19.5, Ha Lam excellently achieved the title of Valedictorian in Chemistry. Talking about the results achieved, Ha Lam modestly said: “To get that result, I also tried very hard. In the last exam, there were many excellent students, I think I was very lucky. I am satisfied with the results achieved and will try harder in the future”.

Ha Lam is good at all subjects, but especially loves Chemistry and English. In grade 7, Lam participated in the district-level excellent student competition for grade 8 English and won first prize. When asked about the secret to achieving high results in studying, especially Chemistry, Ha Lam smiled happily: "I don't study by cramming, but study according to my passion and interests, with a comfortable mentality, without constraints or pressure. I don't know how to express it, but I study quite easily. I think learning efficiency is the important thing."

When encountering difficult exercises, Lam often asks seniors who are studying at Phan Boi Chau School and always interacts with teachers online to understand the problem. Lam also often helps her teammates in the team, is a great assistant of the teacher in guiding the students in the 8th grade Chemistry team".

Having gone through a troubled childhood, Ha Lam, from a withdrawn girl, has overcome to become an excellent team leader, a good student, and the pride of her family. Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet - Lam's mother shared: "It's not very nice when I praise my child, but the truth is, Lam is a good child, studious, and has a sense of independence early. With a comprehensive development orientation, the family always creates all conditions for her to participate in Team activities, extracurricular activities, charity... In the recent provincial excellent student exam, the family was very happy and surprised to know that she was the valedictorian of Chemistry."

Currently, the Team Leader of Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School is nurturing two parallel dreams, which Lam likes both: becoming a doctor and a good diplomat.
