Mr. Ho Tat Quy's pig farm is located on the agricultural land of the commune, nearly 2km from the residential area. This is a suitable location for developing livestock farming.
We met him while he was operating an automatic bathing machine for the pigs in hot weather. The modern closed barn system, the barn is installed with iron pipes, has an automatic bathing system and a schedule to monitor the health and reproductive time of the sows.
Mr. Quy shared that he used to work as a construction worker and then a builder. One time, when he visited a friend in the North, he saw that his friend's pig farm was developing strongly. After being introduced to effective pig farming methods by his friend, he returned to his hometown to open a pig farm to develop the economy.
With little experience in pig farming provided by a friend, Mr. Quy contracted nearly 1 hectare of land in an ineffective rice-producing area of the locality to convert to livestock development. At the end of 2011, he borrowed money from the bank, and his brothers and sisters together with the amount of 1.4 billion VND saved invested in building barns and buying 36 sows from CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company to raise, this is a very prestigious and high-quality sow breed from Thailand.
