Poroshenko accuses Russia of interfering in Ukraine election
The current President of Ukraine announced that Russia is preparing to interfere in the Ukrainian election as it did in referendums in the UK and the Netherlands.
Ukrainian news site UNIAN recently quoted Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko warning that Moscow is looking for ways to interfere in the Ukrainian presidential election.
Accordingly, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin sees the 2019 Ukrainian election as a common war with Ukraine, which will "continue to call the name of the man who is shaking up Russia's influence".

The Ukrainian President believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin's plan is clear - to destroy the independent Ukrainian state and democracy, to deprive Ukraine of its right to live in peace and security. "For Putin, the 2019 elections are a common battle for Ukraine, which he (President Putin-ND) is trying to return to," Poroshenko said.
President Poroshenko noted that: "Russia is trying to interfere in our elections in the same way as in the elections in the United States, France, Germany, in the referendums in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands". "Now they are planning to use these technologies in Ukraine, because their motivation is much stronger", - Poroshenko added, asserting that "Ukrainians will not allow this to happen".
Mr. Poroshenko has repeatedly accused Russia of interfering in European democracies such as in the UK and the Netherlands, and even the previous elections for the German Chancellor or the French President, without any evidence.
The current President of Ukraine also said that Ukraine has experience in confronting Russia, has experience in dealing with the tricks that Russia uses to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, and at the same time called on the EU to increase cooperation with Ukraine so that Kiev has the opportunity to share these valuable experiences.
According to Kenneth Rapoza, a senior contributor to Forbes Magazine (USA), Mr. Poroshenko has a disapproval rate of up to 77% in the country. However, the West and the US still support him 100%. However, the person who is likely to become President of Ukraine is Yulia Tymoshenko with 7/10 points of support from the people in the country.
