How will Putin spend the New Year holidays?

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told about Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming holidays and said that the head of state's New Year's table will feature simple dishes.

Mr. Putin does not have a full day off due to his busy work schedule.

Mr Peskov said the president prefers modest healthy food. “I can’t tell you exactly what, because it’s his personal life, and it’s not worth interfering with,” he added.

According to him, the head of state does not have a full weekend, and during the Christmas holidays Putin constantly talked on the phone with members of the Government about urgent matters, as well as studied daily reports of law enforcement agencies and special services. If he has time to rest, the president participates in his favorite sports.

“He plays hockey, swims and does it when the opportunity arises on a daily basis,” Mr Peskov said.
