Drug lord Van Kinh Duong, his 'hot girl' lover Vu Hoang Anh Ngoc (alias Ngoc 'Miu') and a group of underlings distributing 'white death' in Saigon are about to appear in court.

On October 3, the People's Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City announced that it had just completed the indictment to prosecute drug lord Van Kinh Duong (38 years old, residing in Hanoi), Le Van Mang (29 years old, residing in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Duc Ky Nam (60 years old, residing in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City), Vu Hoang Anh Ngoc (hot girl Ngoc Miu) and 6 other accomplices for the crime of "Illegal production, trading and possession of narcotics".

These defendants were prosecuted under the highest penalty frame of death.

In addition to the above charges, Van Kinh Duong was also proposed to be prosecuted for three charges: "Forgery of seals and documents of agencies and organizations", "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and "Escape from detention".

According to the prosecution, in 2008, Van Kinh Duong was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the People's Court of Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi City) for "Robbery". While serving his sentence, on October 11, 2008, Duong was found to be possessing drugs, so he had to serve another 7 years in prison.

Early morning of November 4, 2010, in cell number 4, K1 prison, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Detention Center, Van Kinh Duong and 4 other inmates sawed through the iron bars of the door, climbed over the barbed wire fence and escaped.

Some time later, two prisoners were recaptured, while Duong and another subject disappeared without a trace. The Ministry of Public Security then issued a wanted notice.

Duong fled to Ho Chi Minh City under the fake name Tran Ngoc Hieu and rented an apartment in a private, high-class residential area, near the residences of many diplomatic officials, to illegally produce and trade drugs.

In June 2016, Duong met “Tom” (unknown background) at a nightclub. After that, Tom and Duong agreed to produce crystal meth to supply to drug dealers. Tom would provide the raw materials.

Duong rented a villa to his juniors, bought chemicals to conduct research, and mixed chemical compounds to produce crystal meth. To avoid detection, the subjects continuously changed production locations in places such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province), and Dong Nai.

Step by step, Duong equipped an automatic machinery system to produce professional drugs. After each batch of goods was produced, Duong moved the factory. Each time he moved, Van Kinh Duong's gang erased all traces. As for the bottles used for production, after use, Duong ordered his subordinates to transport them to Dong Thap to dispose of them.

The "henchmen" in Duong's network include Nguyen Duc Ky Nam (Duong's cousin), who specializes in drug production research; Nguyen Dac Huy (Duong's cousin), who manages the distribution of goods to agents in the North.

A famous hot girl (Duong's girlfriend) Vu Hoang Anh Ngoc (alias Miu) helped Duong store drugs in rented apartments to distribute to dealers.

As for Duong, he directly directed but did not show up much, mainly communicating through social networks and security camera systems placed everywhere.

Based on information from the public, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Binh Thanh District Police, directly led by Major General Phan Anh Minh (Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police), tracked down and arrested the entire gang.

According to the investigation agency, Van Kinh Duong successfully produced a total of 120 kg of drugs. In addition, in less than a year (from June 2016 to April 2017), Duong successfully consumed 18 kg of ecstasy.

Searching Van Kinh Duong's house, police seized nearly 2.6 billion VND in cash, 10,000 USD, many supercars and other valuable assets.
