Trump may meet with President Zelensky next week
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky next week.

According to RT on September 19, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky next week during his visit to the US.
“Probably yes,” Reuters quoted Mr. Trump as saying in response to a question about the possibility of meeting the Ukrainian leader.
However, Mr. Trump did not provide further details.
Previously, on July 19, former US President Donald Trump had a "very good" phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. The phone call between the two politicians marked their first conversation since Mr. Trump left the White House in 2021 and took place 1 day after he officially accepted the Republican presidential nomination, as well as Mr. Trump just experienced a "shocking assassination in Pennsylvania".
Presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that, if elected, he would arrange talks between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine. In addition, Mr. Trump said that he would resolve the situation in Ukraine before becoming president.
Meanwhile, on September 18, White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said that the US was not yet ready to announce the possibility of a new meeting between President Joe Biden and President Zelensky at the White House, or in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
“I don’t have anything to announce about that today,” Kirby told reporters at a briefing, commenting on the possibility of new talks between Biden and Zelensky at the White House or in New York.
Earlier, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that President Biden will speak at the United Nations General Assembly on September 24 and will also meet with world leaders during the event.
