Trump may visit China in first 100 days in office
The Wall Street Journal said that Donald Trump could visit China in his first 100 days in office.

According to RIA Novosti on January 19, the Wall Street Journal cited sources saying that US President-elect Donald Trump could visit China within the first 100 days of his inauguration.
Trump's transition team did not respond to requests for comment.
The Wall Street Journal noted that the trip may stem from the Republican Party's desire to strengthen relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, reinforcing Washington-Beijing relations - which have worsened under President Joe Biden.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the final decision on the first trip of Mr. Trump's second term has not yet been made.
During his first term, Donald Trump visited China in 2017, a year after he entered the White House.
Earlier on January 17, US President-elect Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke by phone to discuss efforts to achieve peace and security, as well as trade and social media TikTok. The Republican Party said that both leaders intended to "do everything possible to make the world more peaceful and secure."
Trump’s first term as president was marked by a “trade war” with China, and Biden has since extended sanctions against Beijing, imposing tariffs on Chinese steel, aluminum and electric vehicle imports.
Meanwhile, China believes that Washington should choose dialogue instead of confrontation in its relations with Beijing, developing mutually beneficial cooperation instead of "playing a zero-sum game."
