Trump plans to cut funding to cities where riots occur in the US
US President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum aimed at cutting off government funding to cities that, in the federal government's view, have failed to combat unrest.
“My administration will not allow federal tax dollars to be funneled to cities that have voluntarily degenerated into lawless zones,” the memo said.

These measures would apply to Seattle, Portland, New York and Washington. The White House will decide within two weeks how the departments will report on their spending in these cities.
Within a month, the White House will prepare proposals to cut off federal funding to the above cities. The US Attorney General has been ordered to officially publish the list of "anarchist" cities.
The situation in America is unstable.
"A state of anarchy has recently engulfed several of our states and cities. Over the past several months, state and local governments have contributed to violence and destruction in their jurisdictions by failing to enforce the law, depriving police agencies of significant authority or funding, and refusing assistance from federal law enforcement agencies," the memo said.
Since late May, following the death of African American citizen George Floyd in Minneapolis while being restrained by police, a wave of protests and riots against police brutality and racism has spread in many major American cities and then to several countries around the world.
Mr. Trump has on several occasions openly clashed with state and city authorities, demanding that they allow federal forces to be deployed to quell riots.
