Trump promises to 'solve' billions of dollars for Ukraine if re-elected
Former US President Donald Trump pledged to "settle" billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, if he is re-elected in the upcoming election.

According to RIA Novosti on June 16, former US President Donald Trump promised that he would "arrange" billion-dollar payments to Ukraine if he wins the upcoming presidential election in November.
Speaking to his supporters in Detroit (Michigan), Mr. Donald Trump noted that each visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington marks a new financial support for Ukraine, up to billions of dollars.
"Mr. Zelensky is probably the greatest businessman of all politicians. Every time he comes to our country, he has $ 60 billion and it doesn't stop. I will solve this problem," Mr. Trump said, broadcast on local television channels.
The former US President has previously criticized continued financial support for Kiev. He previously promised that, if re-elected, he would be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict within 24 hours.
In April 2024, the Biden administration allocated $61 billion for Ukraine’s needs, allocating $1 billion in weapons and ammunition from the Pentagon’s arsenal to Kiev and ordering an additional $6 billion in new military equipment. The passage of the aid bill followed months of debate among US lawmakers.
On June 15, the $1.5 billion aid package was announced by US Vice President Kamala Harris during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, ahead of the Ukraine peace conference taking place in the Swiss city of Lucerne.
