Ukrainian media: President Zelensky is trying to contact Mr. Donald Trump
(Baonghean.vn) - Ukrainian media said that President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to contact former US President Donald Trump to negotiate a number of issues.

Ria Novosti quoted the Strana newspaper (Ukraine) citing sources close to the President's Office as saying that President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to call former US President Donald Trump.
"Trump actually controls the House of Representatives of the US Congress, which is blocking the allocation of funds to Ukraine. The Kiev authorities understand this well, and are therefore trying to organize a direct conversation between former US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky," the Strana article writes.
Previously, the Ukrainian leader had invited Mr. Donald Trump to Kiev to witness the scale of the conflict with Russia, and see if Mr. Trump could "resolve the conflict in 24 hours" as he had declared.
"If Mr. Trump could come here, I would need… 24 minutes to explain to him that he cannot manage this war. He cannot bring peace with Putin" - President Zelensky said.
According to Newsmax, Donald Trump declined, saying such a trip was inappropriate at the moment. Trump added that the US was losing ground in Ukraine. This can be seen in the media coverage of the conflict in Ukraine - it has practically disappeared from the headlines.
Donald Trump has been highly critical of US support for Kiev, saying he could end the war in 24 hours if elected.
Responding to Fox News in July, Mr. Trump said that if elected in 2024, he would quickly end the Russia-Ukraine conflict by forcing Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table.
According to RT News Agency (Russia), the President of Ukraine seems to be "betting" on Mr. Donald Trump, when a recent survey shows that the former US President is leading incumbent President Joe Biden in 5 out of 6 "battleground" states.
