President Zelensky says Ukrainians fear Republican votes

According to Ria Novosti, in a video interview at the Reuters Next conference in New York (USA), President Volodymyr Zelensky said the stance of some US Republican congressmen makes Ukrainians afraid.

"Some Republican votes are really dangerous. Of course, our people are afraid of such votes," President Zelensky said.

Speaking to the press, the Ukrainian leader affirmed that the country will continue to "fight without you" if the US changes its foreign policy stance.

"We have a plan for 2024, outlining specific directions, very specific cities" - Ukrainian President Zelensky said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader admitted that "the counterattack was slow", and blamed the failure on the West. According to him, allied countries did not transfer enough weapons to Kiev.

Previously, on November 7, White House strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that the US had spent 96% of the total amount allocated to support Ukraine since Russia began its special campaign in Ukraine.

According to Ria Novosti, Western media are increasingly mentioning that the US and the European Union have begun to feel tired of the Ukrainian conflict, and support for the Zelensky administration is waning.
