Trump will repeal Obamacare as soon as he takes office

President-elect Donald Trump's first act in the White House will be to repeal the mandatory health insurance reform, known as Obamacare, Vice President-elect Mike Pence said.

Mr. Trump will abolish 'Obamacare' as soon as he officially becomes president.

The Vice President-elect said that after repeal there should be an “orderly” transition to a better health care system. According to Mr. Pence, the new administration will fulfill “all the promises made during the campaign.”

The 2010 health care reform, informally known as Obamacare, provides for health insurance subsidies for low-income people. At the same time, all Americans are required to buy health insurance, while health insurance in the US is the most expensive in the world.

Obamacare has caused mixed reactions in society. According to polls, about half of Americans believe that this regulation should be abolished. However, thanks to this reform, about 20 million Americans have health insurance for the first time.
