Car carrying 20 heroin cakes, 15 kg of crystal meth was stopped at the border
Checking two vehicles of 6 foreigners at the border entering Vietnam, Border Guards discovered a lot of heroin and crystal meth.
Ha Tinh Border Guard said that at around 0:15 on September 23, in the area bordering Vietnam - Laos, the unit coordinated with Lao police to arrest 6 people transporting drugs into Vietnam in two cars.

Evidence collected at the scene included 20 heroin cakes, 15 kg of crystal meth, and many related documents.
Among the 6 suspects, one is Thai and the rest are from Laos. This group was determined to be preparing to bring drugs into Vietnam to deliver to the contact, so they organized a "remote interception" to prevent them from entering the country.

Detectives said they had been monitoring the activities of this transnational drug trafficking ring for a long time.
Authorities of Vietnam and Laos are coordinating to complete the dossier, investigate and handle the case.
