Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Van Thanh: Support for employment for students after graduation

(Baonghean)- Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Vinh University; candidate for the Provincial People's Council for the 2016 - 2021 term in constituency No. 5, Yen Thanh district.

If elected as a representative of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term, this is truly a great honor; therefore, first of all, I am determined to always strive and practice the qualities and skills of a People's Council representative. In addition, I regularly study and grasp the guidelines, policies and guidelines of the Party, the State and the locality on socio-economic development to inform and propagate to all classes of people and participate in criticism and supervision.

I will develop a plan to actively contact voters to grasp their thoughts, feelings, and legitimate aspirations; exchange and reflect voters' opinions with authorities at all levels and advise on solutions, fulfilling the responsibility of a People's Council delegate.

In addition, as a candidate for the Education sector and a representative of universities in the province, I will have specific recommendations and proposals to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and competent authorities to review, supplement, amend and promulgate policies and strategies to better implement and resolve issues such as: Reviewing, arranging and re-planning the network of educational institutions, universities, colleges, vocational training schools in conjunction with socio-economic development planning, building short-term, medium-term and long-term plans for human resource development, forecasting the demand for quantity, quality of human resources and qualifications.

Improve training programs according to international standards to improve training quality, helping students have opportunities to work not only domestically but also in countries in the Southeast Asian region when the ASEAN Economic Community comes into operation. Innovate teaching and learning methods to develop students' capacity in both professional skills and life skills, social skills, helping students adapt quickly to the world of work in the current context.

Strengthening coordination with businesses to introduce and find jobs for students, monitoring and evaluating, and supporting students after graduation. Innovating student management, building a healthy and safe school environment; coordinating with parents in education, providing timely information periodically by semester and school year about their children's learning and training results to have educational measures to improve the overall quality of education of the school.

At the same time, develop plans and training programs to improve the capacity of teachers and educational managers to meet the requirements of educational innovation, in conjunction with the needs of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and international integration in the area.
