Breaking up an online gambling ring similar to Rikvip of tycoon Phan Sao Nam

On the afternoon of January 25, Colonel Le Hong Thang, Head of the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes (PC02) - Hai Phong City Police, said that Department PC03 had just discovered and dismantled an online gambling ring similar to the Rikvip Game gambling ring of "boss" Phan Sao Nam.

According to initial information, on January 23, PC02 Department coordinated with professional units of Hai Phong City Police and local police to suddenly raid 3 establishments in the Long Nguyen Binh online gambling system chain.

At Long Nguyen Binh facility (address 590, Le Thanh Tong, Dong Hai 1 ward, Hai An district, Hai Phong city), Task Force 128B arrested 11 subjects who were employees and security guards of Long Nguyen Binh game store. The authorities seized 180 million VND, 5 laptops, 9 computer CPUs, 8 computer monitors, card printers, money counters, 18 mobile phones...

At the same time, the Special Task Force suddenly raided the Long Nguyen Binh game store (located at 61 Nguyen Binh, Dong Quoc Binh Ward, Ngo Quyen District), arrested 3 subjects who were using computers to access the Internet to gamble; confiscated 1 computer CPU, 900,000 VND.

Conducting an inspection at the Long Nguyen Binh game store (at 326 Cho Hang, Du Hang Kenh ward, Le Chan district), detectives caught two subjects in the act of organizing gambling by using computers connected to the Internet to access a gambling website to exchange rewards for money.

Here, the police seized many vehicles, tools, and documents serving the organization of gambling and online gambling activities.

On January 25, based on investigation documents, the Special Investigation Committee temporarily detained 13 subjects in a gambling organization ring, gambling by connecting to the internet to access online gambling websites through games that exchange rewards for money.

According to initial confessions, at the Long Nguyen Binh facility alone (address 590, Le Thanh Tong, Dong Hai 1 ward, Hai An district), Task Force 128B clarified on January 23 that the total amount of money gambled in the game was 143,203,747 VND, equivalent to 121,570,185 VND in real money.

Currently, Department PC02 is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
