Successfully destroyed a bomb with an intact detonator left over from the war

Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on April 28, Mr. Quang Van Trung's family in Ang village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district hired an excavator to widen the road leading to their house and build a foundation to prevent landslides on the house's foundation, when they discovered a bomb about 120 cm long and 35 cm in diameter.

Immediately after the discovery, Mr. Trung informed the Xa Luong Commune Military Command. The Commune Military Command reported and coordinated with the District Military Command and the Engineering Department of Nghe An Provincial Military Command to organize guarding and implement safety measures.

On the morning of May 8, the Xa Luong Commune Military Command, the District Military Command and the engineering force coordinated to salvage and move the bomb to the detonation site in Khe Chi village, Thach Giam commune.

Thanks to good preparation, by nearly 11:00 a.m. the same day, the authorities had successfully detonated the bomb and ensured absolute safety in all aspects.
