Strive to pave the Vinh - Cua Lo road with asphalt concrete before November 30, 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - That was the direction of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien at the site to inspect the progress of the Vinh - Cua Lo road project (phase 1) on the afternoon of April 20.

The Vinh - Cua Lo connecting road project (phase 1) is nearly 11 km long, passing through Vinh City (3.4 km), Nghi Loc (4.8 km) and Cua Lo Town (2.632 km); the total investment of the project is 1,411 billion VND. The capital plan announced so far for the project is 981 billion VND, of which more than 500 billion VND has been disbursed.
At the site, the Department of Transport is directing contractors to focus on implementing the construction of the sections with available land (7.1km), coordinating with localities to clear the remaining sections. According to the investor, the construction progress of the contractors is basically guaranteed according to the set plan. To ensure the project's progress, localities are requested to focus on site clearance and handover before July 30, 2018.

The section through Vinh city (3.4km) has been cleared and handed over 1.2km; Nghi Loc (4.8km) has been handed over 3.55km; Cua Lo has been handed over 2.6/2.6km.
Regarding site clearance, 7.35 km have been cleared; 3.45 km remain (0.75 km of agricultural land; 2.55 km of residential land; 0.15 km of cemetery land).

In the past time, departments, branches and localities have focused on solving and removing some difficulties and obstacles as well as approving and paying for 162/414 households' residential land, reaching 39%; land acquisition and resettlement sites have been completed in 8/13 resettlement areas (6 in Nghi Loc, 1 in Vinh city and 1 in Cua Lo); organizing the demolition and handover of 42/129 houses, and relocating a total of 854/1,019 graves. However, the progress of implementation is still slow.

After listening to opinions from localities, departments, branches and contractors at the site, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien acknowledged the efforts of the investor, departments, branches and localities to remove difficulties in implementing the project. However, progress is still slow, especially site clearance work in Vinh city.
To ensure the progress of the asphalt concrete pavement before November 30, 2018, the People's Committee of Vinh City and Nghi Loc District is requested to focus on propaganda and mobilization of people to agree and support the project; at the same time, propose plans to complete the 9m land clearance and hand over the site no later than July 30, 2018. For the section through Cua Lo town, it is requested to continue to complete the compensation and support work for the remaining 3 households with residential land and garden land before April 30, 2018, handing over the site in May 2018.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Vinh City People's Committee to coordinate with the Nghi Phu Commune People's Committee and Nghi Phu Primary School to have a plan to relocate the cafeteria and the school office (rent a new place or build a temporary house...) to hand over the site and construct the project during the summer break. At the same time, speed up the basic construction procedures to start the construction of the school project in early June 2018 to relocate and hand over the old school in December 2018.
Departments of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Finance, Planning and Investment promptly remove difficulties and obstacles according to their functions and tasks.
