Phan Van Duc bought a luxury car worth more than 2 billion VND as a gift for his wife

On September 14, Phan Van Duc, his wife Nhat Linh and daughter Dau Tay were present at a showroom in Nghe An to receive the new car. The model chosen by the midfielder born in 1996 is the Mercedes-Benz GLC, which costs about more than two billion VND. This is a gift Van Duc gave his wife after many months away from home.

Before Van Duc, many Vietnamese players also owned Mercedes cars such as Duy Manh, Quang Hai, Bui Tien Dung, Van Hau, Tien Linh... This is the second time in the past three years that the midfielder from Nghe An has bought a car. In early 2019, Van Duc bought a Mazda CX-5, worth more than one billion VND after reaching the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup with the Vietnamese team.

Van Duc returned to Nghe An to visit his family on September 13. He was only able to stay with his wife and children for two days before returning to Hanoi with the Vietnamese team to prepare for the next matches of the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Since the beginning of May, the midfielder from Nghe An has been away from home due to having to train with the national team and undergo quarantine.

Van Duc belongs to the generation of Vietnamese players who "changed their lives" after the 2018 U23 Asian Cup final in Changzhou, China. Thanks to the continuous successes under coach Park Hang-seo, he and his teammates received billions of dong in bonuses. In addition, Van Duc is also among the most sought-after faces in advertising among Vietnamese players today.

In May, Van Duc extended his three-year contract with SLNA Club. The 25-year-old midfielder is said to have received a signing bonus of more than 10 billion VND, along with a salary among the highest in the Nghe An football team. In addition to buying a car, last year, Van Duc also built a spacious house in Vinh city to make a home for himself and his wife and children.
