(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 20, at Quy Hop district stadium, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the National Program on labor safety, labor hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention in Nghe An province held a launching ceremony to respond to the 18th Labor Safety, Labor Hygiene and Fire and Explosion Prevention Week (OSH-PCCN) - 2016.
Attending the event were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the National Program on labor safety, labor hygiene, fire prevention and fighting in Nghe An province; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions at the provincial level, districts, cities and towns.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing Decision No. 504/QD-UBND dated February 27, 2012 of the Provincial People's Committee on the National Program on Food Safety and Fire Prevention for the period 2011-2016.
In 2015, there were 4 fatal accidents in the province, a decrease of 5 cases and 5 deaths compared to 2014; the number of seriously injured people was 14, a decrease of 4 people compared to 2014; the number of fires and explosions as well as the number of deaths and injuries in 2015 decreased by 6 cases compared to 2014. However, in addition, state management at some levels and sectors has not received due attention; awareness of compliance with labor laws, occupational safety and health - fire prevention and fighting regulations of many business owners, production and business establishments and employees is not strict; working conditions in small and medium enterprises and craft villages have not improved much. |
