Launching ceremony to respond to Vietnam Law Day 2016

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 9, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized a ceremony to respond to Vietnam Law Day 2016 and summarize the online contest "Learning about the Civil Code, Civil Procedure Code, and Administrative Procedure Law.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Xuan Dai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Since the implementation of Law Day, over the past 4 years, Nghe An province has had many meaningful activities, with many diverse forms to propagate, disseminate and educate the law.

In recent years, Law Day has focused on widely disseminating the position and role of the Constitution and laws in State management, the codes and ordinances passed by the National Assembly. In particular, it focuses on implementation in remote areas, ethnic minority border areas, islands, areas with difficult socio-economic conditions, etc.

Every year, 21/21 districts, cities and towns develop plans to respond to and actively implement Law Day in the locality, propagating the purpose and meaning of Law Day in many forms such as: hanging banners, propaganda slogans, responding to Vietnam Law Day through headquarters, main roads of cities and towns...

Organize training conferences, seminars, and democratic flower picking, broadcast on grassroots loudspeakers about the purpose and meaning of Law Day and in many other forms such as: organize and produce reports on the implementation of Law Day.

Notably, Do Luong and Nghia Dan districts coordinated with organizations to organize legal propaganda for students in the form of the "Golden Bell" contest, attracting a large number of students to participate; Yen Thanh district organized a discussion to draw lots to answer questions, discuss and resolve problems and recommendations of officials when handling work, or Anh Son district chose Binh Son commune as the location to organize a legal competition by drawing lots to answer questions, propagating the law through dramatization...

After 4 years of implementing "Law Day" in the province, many remarkable results have been achieved, such as the level of awareness and ability to enforce the law of cadres and civil servants has been raised. Organizing "Law Day" in agencies and units has helped cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers understand and grasp more clearly the provisions of the law, the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; at the same time, bringing into legal activities the contents, exchanging professional knowledge and drawing experience in applying and applying the law in solving the daily work of cadres and civil servants, in order to limit errors in performing public duties, raising awareness of compliance and respect for the law of cadres and civil servants for people to follow, contributing to stabilizing political security and social order and safety.

Also at the conference, the Provincial People's Committee summarized the Online Contest "Learning about the Civil Code, the Civil Procedure Code, the Administrative Procedure Law". During the 4 weeks of organizing the online contest, it attracted 100,321 participants, of which 42,061 participants achieved the maximum score of 15/15 points (accounting for 41.92%).

This is a quality, practical and effective contest. The entries not only demonstrate the awareness of self-studying the law, but also demonstrate the sense of responsibility of citizens towards society, towards the political and legal life of the country...

The contest is a political and legal activity in the whole province, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to participate. The Organizing Committee has decided to recognize and award 65 prizes to 57 contestants, including 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 13 third prizes and 40 consolation prizes./.
