Living in the border area, Hoang Van Song was controlled by a transnational drug trafficking ring to transport "white death" across the Vietnam-China border.

On the afternoon of April 30, the Drug Investigation Police Department (Pc47), Lang Son Provincial Police, announced that it had just prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Hoang Van Song (born in 1957), residing in Loc Yen Commune, Cao Loc District, Lang Son Province, for the act of illegally transporting and storing drugs.

According to the initial investigation, at noon on April 28, at Mr. Song's house, the reconnaissance force discovered and caught red-handed in the corner of the kitchen attic a red plastic bag containing 12 heroin cakes.

Mr. Song said that he was lured by strangers and given the above drugs to hide and then wait for the opportunity to bring them to China to sell.

The police discovered a cross-border drug trafficking ring between Vietnam and China and set up a special project codenamed 418T to fight and destroy it.

Currently, the authorities are consolidating records, expanding investigation and handling./.
