Detected 2,000 fake cosmetics of famous brands
Through initial inspection, the authorities determined that most of these cosmetics showed signs of being counterfeited from famous cosmetic brands.
On June 6, the Economic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that it had just seized about 2,000 cosmetics of various types of unknown origin, suspected of being counterfeit, owned by Ms. Tu Thi Thanh Dai, residing on Bui Thi Xuan Street, Da Lat City.
At the time the authorities conducted the inspection, Ms. Tu Thi Thanh Dai could not present a business license, documents proving the origin, provenance and legality according to regulations of all the cosmetics being stored on the 2nd floor, house number 230, Bui Thi Xuan street, Da Lat city.

Authorities have drawn up a record and temporarily seized about 2,000 cosmetics of nearly 200 different types, including lipstick, hair products, skin cream, shampoo, etc.
Through initial inspection, the authorities determined that most of these cosmetics showed signs of being counterfeited from famous cosmetic brands on the market today such as Korean, Japanese, Australian, French, American cosmetics...
The leader of the Economic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that recently the unit has received many reports from people in Da Lat City that some subjects have used many sophisticated tricks to organize the introduction of fake cosmetic products into the Da Lat market and neighboring areas for consumption.
To promptly detect and prevent this situation, the unit organized forces to monitor, ambush, discover and arrest Ms. Tu Thi Thanh Dai's business establishment.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
