Detected and seized 15 illegal timber blocks on the river
(Baonghean.vn) - At 9:00 a.m. on April 15, the Environmental Police Department (Provincial Police) discovered and seized a large amount of wood without valid documents in the Lam River basin, passing through 2 communes: Cam Son, Hung Son (Anh Son).

Through public information, the authorities have learned that in the Lam River basin, through two communes: Cam Son and Hung Son (Anh Son district), there are a number of people illegally transporting timber.
The environmental police force conducted an inspection and discovered the subjects: Dau Van Cuong, Tran Van Mao, Dang Van The, Tran Van Tai, Tran Thi Danh and Tran Dinh Thuyet (all residing in Hamlet 7, Dang Son Commune, Do Luong District) using 2 guns to control 4 wooden rafts.
During the inspection, 4 rafts of wood of various types, with a total volume of 15m3 of wood, were discovered, with no ranger hammer marks.
The authorities made a record to temporarily detain the wood, verify and expand the investigation of the case.
