Dozens of "partygoers" found high on drugs in a nightclub
While enjoying the music, when the inspection team rushed in, the "flying people" in the nightclub immediately ran away.
In the early morning of January 19, the Social Order Administrative Management Team - District 5 Police, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the District 5 Cultural and Social Interdisciplinary Inspection Team to suddenly conduct an administrative inspection of Dong Kinh nightclub located at 106, 108, Tran Tuan Khai Street, Ward 5, District 5, and discovered many young men and women using drugs.

At the Dong Kinh nightclub, even though it was early morning, there were still dozens of “partygoers” high on drugs amidst loud music, foreign wine and thick cigarette smoke. When the interdisciplinary inspection team arrived, the security guards and staff of the nightclub tried to alert the people inside, but all actions of the gatekeeper were controlled by the authorities.
While engrossed in the music, when the inspection team arrived, the "flying people" in the nightclub immediately ran away, however the emergency exits of this nightclub were blocked by the working groups.
Checking inside the dance floor, the authorities discovered many bags of white crystals suspected to be drugs at VIP tables 23 and 24. Checking a woman's handbag with suspicious signs, the interdisciplinary team discovered bags of white powder inside. This woman confessed her name was Ho Thi Phuong Nguyet (32 years old, living in Hoc Mon), and immediately after that, the inspection team took Nguyet to the headquarters to continue working.
In addition, 41 young men and women (30 men, 11 women) showing signs of drug use were also taken to the ward police station for drug testing.

The rapid test results confirmed that 27 people (24 men, 3 women) tested positive for drugs. The interdisciplinary inspection team handed over these people to the police of Ward 5, District 5 to continue verifying their background and preparing records for handling according to regulations.
The nightclub owner was fined for allowing others to take advantage of and use drugs in his business establishment.
