Bomb weighing nearly 113 kg found under rice field in Tan Ky
(Baonghean.vn) - While using scrap metal detectors, a local resident discovered a bomb lying under a rice field in Nghia Hop commune, Tan Ky district.

The incident occurred on September 17. After receiving the information, the Nghia Hop commune government and the Tan Ky District Military Command sent forces to cordon off the area to protect the scene, and at the same time coordinated with the engineering officers of the Provincial Military Command to dig and move it to a safe place for disposal. According to officers of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, this is a 250-pound bomb (nearly 113 kg) and was used by the US military during the war of aggression against Vietnam.
