Promoting sources of reporting and denunciation to prevent crimes in Nghi Loc
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, many valuable sources of information have been the basis for Nghi Loc Police to promptly detect criminal acts, determine whether or not there are signs of crime to consider and decide whether or not to prosecute a criminal case.
Many valuable sources
Most recently, through a crime report, at around 12:00 on June 1, 2022 in My Dinh 2 ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi city, Nghi Loc district police successfully arrested Phung Viet Hung for fraud and property appropriation.
This is a subject who sells tracking software, reads messages to defraud and appropriate the buyer's property. When the victim agrees to buy, Hung requires the money to be transferred first before providing an account. However, in reality, the website and software Hung sells cannot track other people's personal devices. After receiving the money, Hung tries every way to delay and block the buyer's phone number to appropriate the property.

According to statistics, in 2021, Nghi Loc District Police alone received 34 denunciations and reports of crimes, of which 17 cases were prosecuted. Since the beginning of the year, 27 reports have been received and 9 cases have been prosecuted. Notably, the information received is increasingly of better quality and accuracy, contributing to stabilizing the situation and promptly preventing violations of the law.
Major Hoang Danh Toan - Head of the General Investigation Team, Nghi Loc District Police said: The reports and denunciations that the unit receives are mostly serious cases with signs of crime. Therefore, immediately after receiving them, the unit classifies and assigns investigators to handle them according to regulations. After organizing the investigation and verifying the reports and denunciations, there are conclusions to decide whether to prosecute or not to prosecute the case.
Along with directing the good implementation of the work of receiving denunciations and crime reports, the settlement process always ensures objectivity, speed, and timeliness in accordance with the provisions of law; does not allow the situation of reports and denunciations being left behind, violating the settlement process, letting criminals escape, causing public outrage, contributing significantly to the work of preventing and combating crimes and maintaining social order and safety in the area. In reality, many people are still afraid and do not dare to report crimes for fear of being implicated.
According to Major Hoang Danh Toan: "People do not need to worry about being implicated for providing information to the police, because the identity of the whistleblower and information about crimes is always kept confidential and protected by law."
