Promoting the role of the Association, making Nghe An tourism increasingly developed
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 24, Nghe An Tourism Association held a conference to summarize activities in 2018 and deploy plans for 2019.
Nghe An Tourism Association currently has 140 members. In 2018, Nghe An Tourism Association focused on attracting visitors to tourist destinations in the province such as Cua Lo, Dien Lam (Dien Chau), Tea Island (Thanh Chuong), Con Cuong... Thanks to that, the number of visitors increased by 18%, revenue increased by 33% compared to the same period in 2017.
The Association has put into operation 12 more accommodation establishments with 345 rooms, bringing the total number of accommodation establishments in the province to 839, including 3 5-star hotels; 7 4-star hotels; 13 30-star hotels and nearly 100 1-2 star hotels.
In addition, the association has proposed policies to facilitate development, improve service quality and improve the tourism business environment in Nghe An.

In 2018, Nghe An tourism industry welcomed over 6 million visitors, of which 4.29 million stayed, up 11.5% compared to 2017. International visitors are estimated at 128,700, up 17% compared to 2017. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 7,410 billion VND.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism acknowledged the connection between Nghe An Tourism Association and state management agencies over the past year. At the same time, he pointed out that the role of connection between businesses in tourism development is an essential requirement, a driving force for development, and it is necessary to avoid small-scale and opportunistic business. Therefore, it is necessary to coordinate in building common products, common tours, common prices to improve and share benefits.
At the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Tourism Association to 11 groups with outstanding achievements in business activities.

On this occasion, Nghe An Hotel Association held its first Congress (term 2019-2023).
